Seven fields, no cookies.

There is no product yet — only a waitlist. This page lists everything that waitlist stores, why each field exists, and how to have your row deleted. The full list is short enough to print.

What the waitlist stores

Email addressYou type it

To email you when a slot opens. It is the only field we require.

What describes youYou pick it

Engineer, hiring or L&D team, bootcamp, or something else. It sets the order we onboard people in.

What you would practice firstYou type it, optional

Up to 180 characters. It tells us which scenarios to build first.

CountryRead from the connection

A two-letter code our host derives from your IP address. We never ask, and we store nothing narrower than the country.

A hash of your IP addressComputed, never stored raw

SHA-256 of the address with a secret salt, so it cannot be read back. Used only to stop one machine submitting the form repeatedly.

Browser user agentSent by your browser

First 300 characters. Used to recognise automated submissions.

Time of submissionRecorded

To know when you joined, so we onboard in order.

That is the entire record. There is no account, no password, and nothing else attached to it.

What this site does not do

  • No cookies, of any kind
  • No session recording, no heatmaps, no reading of what you type
  • No third-party requests — fonts, images and even analytics are served from this domain
  • No advertising networks, and no data sold or traded

You can verify the first and third lines yourself: open your browser's network panel and count the hosts this page talks to. There is one.

What we measure, and how to switch it off

We count visits, because we have no other way of knowing whether any of this is landing. It runs on PostHog, a product analytics company in the United States, but the requests go to aretica.co and our own server passes them on — which is why the network panel still shows a single host.

Four things get recorded, and nothing else:

  • The page you opened, and how far down it you got
  • Where you arrived from — a link, a search, a campaign tag
  • Your browser, screen size and country, worked out from your IP address
  • Whether you pressed Join the waitlist, moved through the product screens, or had a form submission fail

Your email address is never attached to any of it, and neither is anything you typed. You are a random ID kept in your browser's local storage — not a cookie, and not something we can turn back into a person. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, none of this runs at all.

Measurement is on for this browser.

Switching it off is immediate and stays off. It costs you nothing here — the page works the same either way.

Who can see it

The two people who run Aretica, and Cloudflare, which hosts the site and the database the form writes to. Nobody else. When we reply to you, that email passes through our own mail provider, Microsoft.

We do not share waitlist data with employers, recruiters, or anyone hiring. That holds for the product when it ships, and it is the reason we ask for so little now.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or until we retire the waitlist after onboarding — whichever comes first. We do not keep a copy after that.

Having it removed, or seeing it

Email hanshi96@outlook.com from the address you signed up with and say what you want: a copy of your row, a correction, or deletion. We do it within 30 days, usually the same week. You do not have to give a reason, and asking costs you nothing.

Depending on where you live, the law may already give you these rights — the GDPR in the EU and UK, the PIPL in China, among others. We answer the request either way. We hold your email because you gave it to us for this purpose; we hold the hashed IP address and user agent because without them the form cannot be defended from abuse.

When the product exists

Aretica will handle résumés, job descriptions, recordings of practice sessions, and the evaluations of them. None of that is collected today, because there is nothing to run yet. Before any of it is, this page will say exactly what is stored, for how long, and which model providers see it — in the same detail as the list above.

The commitment on the home page stands: your résumé, your recordings and your feedback are yours, and we never show them to employers.

Changes, and who to ask

Aretica is an independent, pre-launch project. If this page changes in a way that affects what we collect, the date at the top changes with it, and anyone on the waitlist gets an email.
